The Sesame Street Yellow Feather Fund brings educational materials to children in need – here and around the world. We are a non-profit organization on a mission to help children everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder. Using the power of media and our beloved characters, we reach little learners at the earliest time in their development, when we can set them on a positive path for life.
Autism: See Amazing
Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children provides tools for families of children with autism to help with everyday challenges. It also aims to reduce the stigma and misperceptions that surround autism, to help everyone see commonalities instead of differences - because every child is unique, and every child is amazing.
As many as 700,000 children under the age of five have a parent in the military. Military families show their strength as they experience deployments, homecomings, relocations, injuries, and sometimes grief. Through our Sesame Street for Military Families resources, we build on their resilience in times of separation and change.
Sesame Street and Refugees
12 million young children have been displaced in the Syrian conflict—forced to leave homes, communities, and schools. Sesame Street is working to deliver critical education across the Syrian response region, bringing learning, laughter, and hope to children who need us most.
Raya Washes Up!
WASH UP! is an initiative that teaches children and their communities about clean water, hand washing, and proper latrine use. Leading the conversation are Elmo and Raya, our first ever global health ambassador. Our WASH UP! materials are an antidote to life-threatening, hygiene-related diseases, like pneumonia and diarrhea - and are currently reaching communities in Nigeria, Bangladesh, India, and Zambia.
